Sonny has been teaching dance full time for over a decade. His disciplines are jazz dance technique, musical theatre and specialises in teaching Matt Mattox based Isolation technique which he studied for 3 years whilst training at college. 

Currently he teaches students on the BA (Hons) Degree course, Gap year Foundation and BTEC courses at Arts Ed School of Musical Theatre and Emil Dale Academy. He has been teaching for over 15 years at the Sylvia Young Theatre School and has also taught for the Royal Academy of Dance for over 10 years. Over the years at RAD, he has taught for their Dance School and for courses and workshops both in London and Internationally. For 8 years, Sonny was Senior Company Leader of the RAD Jazz Company at Step Into Dance which he trained weekly and choreographed for their performances at various London theatres.

In the past, he has taught at establishments such as London Vocational Ballet School (formerly known as Young Dancers Academy), The Place, Hurtwood House and has taught Internationally such as Singapore, Dubai, Luxembourg...

Sonny is an extremely passionate and committed teacher, and it is evident in his work that he loves nurturing and developing the talent in his students. He has high standards and expectations from his students, which encourages them to push their boundaries and always work to their full potential. Sonny’s classes are physically demanding and technically challenging but always suitable for the group he is teaching. Sonny has a reputation for providing the highest level of training to hundreds of students - most of which have gone on to have successful and varied careers within the industry.
